Here's a little more about us
Best friends and business partners, Iain and Dale, both joined the Army Junior Leaders Regiment at the age of 16 in 1987. The Juniors Leaders Regiment was an extensive year-long leadership apprenticeship programme aiming to produce the British Army’s future leaders (NCO’s and Warrant Officers).
Following that training Iain and Dale both had full and very successful Army careers, each attaining the highest non-commissioned rank of Warrant Officer Class 1 at a relatively young age. Their careers pretty much matched each other both serving at NATO Headquarters in Belgium at one point and travelling the world on many operational tours. Dale did a secondment working for the sultan of Brunei for 3 years and Iain’s highlight was a 6 months detachment in the Falkland Islands. They served together for the final time in 2010 in Afghanistan where they plotted the beginning of their second careers in civvy street. During their military careers Iain and Dale have gained extensive people management, leadership, and organisational skills at every level, including project management, team building, process management, and HR, payroll/accounting. They ended their careers working together as inspectors of military units and regiments, ensuring the highest standards of administration and discipline which aids operational effectiveness.
After retiring from the military, both embarked on their second careers in the recruitment/payroll industry as senior managers, it became apparent to all that military experience and skills are transferrable and they both quickly rose to Managing Director and Group Operations Director positions respectively in the companies they worked for, later together establishing, growing, and selling a successful £150m turnover business from 2016-2023. During their second careers Iain and Dale added commercial knowledge and acumen to their extensive skill sets.
Now, as consultants, they leverage their combined military and commercial experience, skills, knowledge, and people/process-focused approach to assist business owners and directors whilst maintaining and promoting core military values of integrity (in their business dealings and relationships) and quality (in respect of the services they provide)
